From brain surgery and starting over at 50, to building a digital business that gave me back my life.
Who Am I?
I'm the founder of Gen X Digital Marketing and Holy Shack Digital — a full-service digital marketing agency I opened in October 2025. But my story didn't start with success. It started with survival.
After being laid off for the third time — right after my mother had immigrated and come to live with me — I had to dig deep. I had to provide for her with no income. I sold meaningful jewelry to pay bills. I carried unexpected lawyer bills and credit card debt while rebuilding from zero. And I did it all while learning digital marketing from scratch — no loans, no investors, no safety net.
Two years of learning a skill no one can take away from you changed everything — not just my income, but my identity, my purpose, and my faith in what's still possible.
"No one can take knowledge away from you."
My Journey
For years I poured my energy into building other people's businesses — giving my best to companies that didn't always give it back.
I was laid off not once, not twice, but three times. The third time was the last time. I refused to let someone else's decision define the rest of my life.
My mother had immigrated and came to live with me. Then I got laid off. I had to provide for her with no income coming in — it was one of the hardest seasons of my life.
I had real financial pressure — providing for my mom, managing debt, and facing uncertainty. I sold jewelry I loved to stay afloat. But I kept going, dollar by dollar.
Two years ago I made a decision that changed everything: I started learning the one skill no one can ever take away from me. I taught myself websites, branding, funnels, AI, ads, and content creation — from scratch, with no shortcuts and no handouts.
In October 2025 — after my third and final layoff — I officially opened Holy Shack Digital, my own digital marketing agency. Built from scratch. No investors. No loans. Just knowledge, grit, and faith.
I turned my hard-won knowledge into a mission: teaching women over 40 to do what I did — rebuild their income, identity, and purpose through digital marketing.
To help Gen X women rebuild their confidence, identity, purpose, faith, and income — using the same tools and strategies I used to survive and then thrive. Through the Now What? program and the She Believes community, I walk beside every woman who's willing to take that first step.
